Puerto Vallarta beach scene
By Eileen Ogintz
Sea Lions, whales and ziplines!
Plenty of beaches for sand castles. All that and the chance to practice your Spanish too. Puerto Vallerta has enough to please everyone in the gang whatever their vacation style.
That’s why The Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board has launched a family-focused sweepstakes to show families all this Mexican destination has to offer—everything from hotel kids’ clubs, museums, concerts, art and music scene and more.
Three lucky families can visit Puerto Vallarta for 3-night stays at area hotels including the all-inclusive Meliá Vacation Club Puerto Vallarta. Check out the iguanas and birds in the gardens.
It’s great to find a resort where kids are a priority. There are new large “Kids & Co”, rooms with bunk beds, a separate check in desk where the kids are offered snacks and juice when they arrive and a family concierge to help plan your stay
The classic cartoon family, The Flintstones make egular appearances through the resort and there is a Flintstones Land™, featuring Baby Rock Club where babies from 4 months to 4 years old can be watched and cared by certified babysitters with Red Cross First-Aid training.

And because the resort is all-inclusive, it offers the opportunity for the kids to sample new foods.
The only hard part might be getting the kids to spend time with you.
The Bamm Bam Club is designed for kids from 5 to 11 years old with activities from water balloon fights to arts and crafts and treasure hunts.
Teens can join hip-hop workshops, karaoke, beach parties and more,–as long as they can get 10 new friends to join the fun.
No one should get bored here with archery, tennis, ping-pong, pool tables, beach volleyball, water polo, a climbing wall, water aerobics, yoga and ocean kayaking and evening shows.
Isn’t it nice when parents get a break on a family vacation too!
