Coming up next week with festivities trailing into the weekend is Ullr Fest in Breckenridge, CO. Many locals and visitors will line Main St. Breckenridge to celebrate the Norse God of Snow with a parade, Ullympic games, Fat Bike racing, the world’s longest Shotski, and much more, including ice carving. Ullr Fest takes place January 13-16th and marks the 53rd year of celebration in Breckenridge. The town extends an invitation to visitors from across the country to don Viking Helmets and celebrate this season’s snowfall. The parade takes place on Thursday and is said to be the highlight of the week. New for 2016 is the Ullr Plunge – a dive into Maggie Pond on Friday, Jan. 15th (free entry).
