Have you ever been to the Catskills in New York State? The Catskill tourism and travel industry wants the public’s help in creating a new brand & image for the popular upstate New York region. The Catskills Park Resource Foundation–founded following the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Irene last August–is holding a contest to find a catchy and memorable tagline that captures the essence of the region. All entries should be entered before 11:00 PM EST on Sunday, July 15, 2012. A panel of judges will choose the top five entries and announce them in a press conference to be held before July 27. Finalists and CPR supporters will invite all members of the general public to vote online for their favorite tagline. The $1,500 grand prize winner will be announced on August 25th at “Comedy in the Catskills”with Susie Essman, a benefit concert, taking place at Belleayre.
