Field Museum in Chicago Welcomes New Native American Exhibits


The Field Museum in Chicago is welcoming two new exhibitions highlighting the work of contemporary Native American artists. Drawing on Tradition: Kanza Artist Chris Pappan” and “Full Circle/Omani Wakan: Lakota Artist Rhonda Holy Bear,” will run from October 29, 2016, through January 13, 2019. Drawing on Tradition is a take on Native American ledger art. Full Circle/Omani Wakan is a depiction of a journey to understand Native American culture better. Both exhibitions will be located near the Museum’s permanent Native American galleries to engage visitions with both historical and contemporary Native culture.
