“Foods & Feasts of Colonial Virginia,” is a three-day event at Jamestown Settlement and Yorktown Victory Center near Williamsburg, Virginia. Beginning on Thanksgiving Day, guests can celebrate the holiday with a true understanding of what it was like to live and dine in colonial Virginia. At Jamestown Settlement, visitors can learn how food was gathered, preserved and prepared on land and at sea by Virginia’s English colonists and Powhatan Indians and, at the Yorktown Victory Center, learn about typical soldiers’ fare during the American Revolution and trace the bounty of a 1780s. Visit the website for more information and a variety of admission passes and package deals for the two locations.
