Lots of free things for families to do on vacation in Kansas City

Kansas City may be a good bet for family vacation in 2013. Travel + Leisure recently crowned Kansas City America’s #1 Affordable Getaway, as the city offers more than 30 attractions at no cost—including one of the nation’s largest monthly art walks (First Fridays), three acclaimed art museums and factory tours at Hallmark Cards, Harley-Davidson and Boulevard Brewing Co. Parents can also look forward to enjoying the local spirits because the Chicago Tribune recently tapped Kansas City as “America’s Next Great Cocktail City”!
