Take walks every Saturday, some days focussing on plants, wildlife, and the Tennessee Hollow Creek. Participate in a day of stewardship along Presidios trails and pathways on National Trails Day (June 4th) or explore Presidio Kite Festival (June 18th–reservations required). Join veterans and the community for the annual Memorial Day grand march and ceremony on May 30th (10:30 AM). Celebrate San Francisco history throughout June, especially with Pasados Del Presidio (June 24th and June 25th). The Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club, National Park Service, Young Audiences of Northern California, Friends of Allensworth and the Presidio Trust offer special activities such National Cemetery Walk (June 4th), Presidio Walking Tour (June 4th), African American Family Storytelling (June 4th) and The Buffalo Soldier California Story (August 6th). Honor the service of Korean War veterans at the new Korean War Memorial Opening Ceremony (August 1). Creative Family Fun Saturdays and Sundays in the summer offer imaginative craft-making based on the Presidio’s natural and cultural heritage. Witness archaeology in action with Live Archaeology Dig (every Friday and Saturday, June 24th through October 15th). Presidio Stargazing Parties (June 2th and August 7th), Presidio Picnics (Sundays until October 9th) and Presidio Twilight (Thursdays beginning May 12th)–there is so much to do outdoors. Learn to ride a bike, explore Presidio on a guided shuttle tour or learn and share your ideas about sections of the highway to the Golden Gate Bridge.
