San Francisco Zoo & Gardens Celebrate Newest Exhibit

San Francisco Zoo & Gardens celebrated the opening of a new exhibit featuring Coquerel’s sifaka.  Coquerel’s sifaka is a species of lemur, distinguished by its unique methods of movement, including leaping and jumping great distances between trees and skipping slightly sideways on the ground.  The animal was introduced to the masses by the former PBS Kids program Zoboomafoo. The exhibit is an extension of the existing Lipman Family Lemur Forest. The new exhibit was made possible by the generosity of longtime SF Zoo supporters Barry and Marie Lipman.
