Shofuso Japan House and Garden Opens for Season in Philadelphia

The intimate Shofuso Japanese House and Garden in Philadelphia has opened for the season, just in time for Cherry Blossoms. Shofuso Japanese House and Garden is a traditional-style Japanese house and nationally ranked garden in Philadelphia’s West Fairmount Park that reflects the history of Japanese culture in Philadelphia. Visitors can tour the Japanese house and garden and feed the koi fish under the budding 75-year-old weeping cherry tree through October 31. The Japanese House and Garden have increased access from the Avenue of the Republic, next door to the Please Touch Museum in the Centennial District of Fairmount Park. New for the 2016 season will be Japan Uncovered: The 1876 Centennial Exposition on May 11 and the very unique Shofuso Roof Restoration in September.
