Small, Quirky and Beautiful Town Worth Visiting in New Mexico

Taos, New Mexico is not a large booming city like Los Angeles or New York City. However, it’s certainly a place to visit worth considering for a family summer getaway. The artsy mountain town has endless outdoor activities, a vibrant art scene, a unique food culture and a beautiful landscape. Take a break at luxirious spas like Ojo Caliente and El Monte Sagrado Living Resort and Spa. Take a walking tour of the many galleries and historic artist homes on foot, and there’s nothing quite like a llama trek or horseback ride through the beautiful Taos wilderness with views of the Rio Grande Gorge. The UNESCO World Heritage Site, Taos Pueblo, is a must-see, as families get to experience what one thousand years of Spanish and Native American history looks like today – a truly once in a lifetime opportunity.
