May 21, 2017
The Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago will explore the urgency of nuclear weapons and climate change with one of the most provocative symbols of the 20th Century, the Doomsday Clock, in its newest exhibit Turn Back the Clock, opening May 26, 2017. The new exhibit provides interaction with a digital representation of the Clock through time, offering a snapshot of the science, policy and culture at that moment. Furthermore, children can learn how the atomic age extends into pop culture, including inspiring comic book series, music, and films directed by Stanley Kubrick. It would be worth taking a walk through a visual, historic timeline of the nuclear age. The exhibit is available with museum entry ($18 for adults and $11 for kids ages 3-11).
