The Presidio Full of March Happenings

If you’re in the San Francisco area, check out The Presidio for one of their many March events! See the Academy Award-nominated film “Girl Rising,” which is about nine girls in developing worlds trying to defeat challenges to achieve their dreams (3/19/17 @ 6PM). If you need a new friend with grass for hair, come make one in an arts and crafts activity called “Grass Pals” (3/11 & 3/12 11 AM – 4 PM). If you love storytelling, Chinese Whispers’ founding director Rene Yung retells the forgotten story of Chinese shrimp fishing in San Francisco Bay (3/16 @ 6PM). If you’re curious about Galileo’s work involving astronomy and use of telescopes, Alan Agrawal is a physician offering his insight on what is known about the optics and construction of Galileo’s telescopes (3/21 @ 7:30 PM). Don’t forget about stopping by for Presidio Picnic starting March 19th and stretching to October. For a full list of upcoming events, visit The Presidio’s event page.
