Because of the latest terror incident in Manchester, U.K, many travelers are on edge, with questions about what to do or where to turn. TravelInsurance.com offers some advice:
- Vacationers in Manchester who already have a travel insurance plan should check that they have trip interruption and emergency medical benefits available to them. If the US State Department recognizes the Manchester bombing as a terrorist attack, which appears likely to happen, these individuals are able to cancel the rest of their trip and return home at no additional cost. They would be eligible for the reimbursement of any unused, non-refundable costs they had already paid, plus the additional fees, if any, of returning home early.
- Those with existing travel insurance policies who have Manchester on their travel itineraries within the coming days or weeks, can cancel their trips and get back their non-refundable, prepaid costs.
