New York City’s American Museum of Natural History is celebrating the reopening of the museum’s Theodore Roosevelt Memorial this month by offering a unique and exciting nature experience within the big city! Enjoy the former President’s favorite hobby any Thursday in February (7, 16, 21 and 28) with a Lunchtime Bird Walk, starting at the museum and into New York City iconic Central Park. Ornithologist Paul Sweet guides participants through three Central Park habitats, where they can catch a glimpse of owls, songbirds and woodpeckers in the woods, seed-eating birds in the fields and several species of ducks and gulls in the Lakes that inhabit the city. Bring a pair of binoculars, wear comfortable shoes and show up ready to explore!
