Waking Up Where the Animals Roam

Farm animals deserve love, too. Farm Sanctuary is a nonprofit organization that works to change the way society views and treats farm animals and provides lifelong care for animals rescued from abuse at three sanctuary locations in New York and California. Visitors can come see these farm animals in an environment where their natural personalities come out. During their visitor season from May through October this year, a tiny house is open for overlooking the New York sanctuary located in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. These stylish houses—each named after a special Farm Sanctuary resident—were decorated by animal activist and New York Times bestselling author Tracey Stewart. It is humbling to wake up to the sounds of crowing roosters – not an experience usually found elsewhere.
