    I’ve been buying reduced tixs to local parks and pools that are on discount sites like Groupon, Certifikid, LivingSocial. We’ll have a summer of water adventures!

    Cannonball contest into the pool. Biggest splash wins. Take turns letting a kid be the judge.

    We have those funky things that look like bandanas that go around your neck that stay cool. So we soak them in cold water and they expand and gets squishy. They stay cold and keep your temp down so you can stay out longer.

    Keep kids cool in summer by turning on the hose in the back yard and just let them have fun. It’s cheap and they’ll love it.

    We take a travel fan and a spray bottle with us when we play outside. It’s fun and keeps us cool.

    We love to spend a hot afternoon at the local library. It has great air conditioning and my kids love to choose the books they want to borrow.

    Switch out activities inside and outside to keep them from getting to hot. Craft activities that they can then play without side are good draw.

    To stay cool in here in Las Vegas…I just want to go to Utah!!!!! Seriously….pr egnant and miserable in this heat and everyday I wake up and hope I feel good enough to drive to Zion or somewhere!!! Other than that…we’ve just been waking up early early, and going to the park and trying to get home before 9am!

    We’re keeping cool this summer at the water park. Because we have passes, we’ve found that we love to go for an hour in the evening when the lines are short. Our family loves being able to enjoy frequent small trips!
