The Cave, known for unique and varied minerals and formations, is located in Sawmill Canyon. Lake Tunnel is one of the most high-profile passages and the lake is 262 feet below the entrance level.
As the cave gets deeper, the temperature becomes warmer, so dress accordingly. There is a $100 deposit fee when you pick up the access key at the Forest Supervisor’s Office in Tucson, Arizona.
