The American Hotel and Lodging Association recently announced that more than 15,000 U.S. hotels have signed up for the new Hospitality for Hope initiative. It identifies hotel properties that have offered to provide temporary housing for healthcare workers during the Covid-19 crisis.

Although this program focuses on housing, some hotels might open as Alternative Care Sites for patients. In addition, the program boosts collaboration between the hotel industry and local, state and federal governments to help workers and the hotel industry.

AHLA and state association partners are working to create a national Hospitality for Hope database. More information is available here.
