The Faroe Islands group, a self-governing department of Denmark, recently set up a website where people can dictate moves of a Faroese guide dressed in protective equipment. Users do this via an online remote control.
A local Faroese resident comes online daily at 5 p.m. local time and everyone who is logged on to the website can control the guide for one minute. Curious travelers get a chance to learn about the pristine islands located in the North Atlantic Ocean.
Each day’s journey starts from a different spot. Read more about a remote-control tour here.
