The Maldives, a country in South Asia, is welcoming tourists from around the world. Outside visitors do not have to enter into a mandatory quarantine upon arrival and there are no new visa requirements or fees.
International visitors are only allowed on the resort islands and they must book their entire stay in one registered establishment. Tourism officials are relying on the fact that each resort offers a form of quarantine already.
This country is made up of 26 atolls filled with more than 1,000 islands spread out over about 56,000 miles and there are dozens of resorts to choose from. More information about planning a trip to the Maldives is here.
