Running on the Hoka One One Speed Instinct Trail-Running Shoes ($130) is like floating on a cloud. The cushioning on the heal of these shoes feels different – and better – than any other running shoes I have tried. And the tread of these shoes feels solid on trails made of all materials: from the sandy soils of Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, to the hard-packed dirt of Eastern Europe. Confidence is always hight that your feet won’t slip when wearing these kicks. And perhaps the best feature of these shows are their weight – they are super light for the amount of cushion and shock-absorption you get back. How does Hoka do it?
