Really, any day can be Mother’s Day — like on your next family vacation. All you have to do is declare: “This day is for you, Mom!”
I admit it. When it comes to skiing when the wind is howling and I can’t see in front of me, I’ll pack it in, even at such a wonderful mountain as Snowbird.
Any mom — or grandma — who has traveled with kids, especially young ones, knows that all too often a vacation is not a vacation at all for moms. “It’s just like home without the washing machine,” one young mom told me glumly as she watched her kids splash in a hotel pool.
We amble inside out of the sun for lunch at Sprouts which serves healthy eats (complete with calorie counts) but indulgences too like chocolate fondue. We love the chicken curry lettuce wraps, tuna tartare and salads. We skip the chocolate fondue!
