Bird Breeding Camerica at the Presidio in SF

Spring is right around the corner, so out comes the birds and the bees at the Presidio in San Francisco. The Presidio has found a couple of Red-tailed Hawks doing a little “nestoration” 100 feet up in one of the blue gum eucalyptus trees. In fact, a couple have returned to the same nest over the past years. To learn more about bird breeding behaviors in the park, the Presidio has established a live video stream. A few hummingbirds have even dropped by to pilfer feathers, twigs and bits of fuzz for their own nest. Bird Watchers are hoping to get a good shot to learn more about the hawk. Stay tuned!
