Families in Boston seeking a fun night out with the kids can enjoy “Fresh Fridays,” a free, limited-time outing emphasizing healthy cooking. Fresh Fridays will offer various activities for kids to learn about and celebrate fresh produce throughout the month of July. Families are invited to choose three free locally grown fruits or vegetables from an outdoor shopping stand to cook a fun meal together at home, compliments of the Boston Public Market vendors. Children can receive helpful cooking tips, sample fresh new foods, and learn simple and delicious recipes. Fresh Fridays will be the perfect way to bring the family together to enjoy a savory summer night by the Boston waterfront, featuring live music. Fresh Fridays, sponsored by The Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation in partnership with Boston Children’s Museum and The Boston Public Market, will take place from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on July 7, 14, 21, and 28, outside Boston Children’s Museum on Fort Point Channel.
