LEAVE NO TRACE – CARE FOR COLORADO PRINCIPLES

The Colorado Tourism Office and the Leave No Trace Center for outdoor Ethics are sharing a jointly developed set of principles to help travelers show care for the state’s water, land and wildlife. The goal of this first-time partnership is to respond to the concerns many Coloradans have about the impact of tourism on the environment. The Care for Colorado Principles are:

  • Know Before You Go
  • Stick To Trails
  • Trash the Trash
  • Leave It As You Find It
  • Be Careful With Fire
  • Keep Wildlife Wild
  • Share Our Trails & Parks
