The Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland in Ohio is hosting the Alexis Rockman: The Great Lakes Cycle exhibition until January 27, 2019. It blends extensive research, diverse techniques, and site-specific materials including soil and sand.
This exhibition includes five new, mural-sized paintings; and a suite of watercolors that all depict the evolution of the Great Lakes. Rockman is an acclaimed painter and environmental activist.
The Great Lakes Cycle gives MOCA an opportunity to connect relevant contemporary art practice with urgent environmental issues in ways that expand awareness. More information is here.
