National Park Service Water Bottle Ban Effort Ended

The National Park Service recently ended its effort to eliminate disposable water bottle sales. The Policy Memorandum 11-03 was put in place on December 14, 2011 and encouraged national parks to ban one of the healthiest beverage choices. The change came after a review of the policy’s aims and impact. It is now up to you to decide how best to stay hydrated during a visit. The good news is parks will continue to promote recycling of disposable plastic water bottles. If you have questions or need more information click here: www.nps.gov.
