Niabi Zoo in Illinois greets new animals

New animals will greet guests at Niabi Zoo in Coal Valley, Illinois this season. Among many new species this season, the zoo introduces the Pallas Cat and Yellow-backed Duiker. Pallas Cats, also known as Manul, are small wild cats from Central Asia that are highly adaptable and inhabit grassland to high-altitude mountainous areas.  They are known for their long, fluffy fur suited for their natural habitats. The zoo grounds cover over 40 acres with an additional 200 acres that are set aside for native flora and fauna preservation. More information is here.
