Sagamore Hill in New York is a national historic site and home of President Theodore Roosevelt. You can visit Wednesday-Sunday. And tours are offered from 10:00AM to 4:00PM at a cost of $10 for adults; individuals 15 and under are admitted for free. A few special events Sagamore Hill will offer this winter are:
The Great Backyard Bird Count- This is an annual citizen science event organized by the National Audubon Society. It will start at 10:00am on February 17, 2018.
Ranger Talk: McKinley’s Assassination: Learn about the assassination at a presentation on January 14, 2018 at 2:00pm. The 25th President of the United States was shot on the grounds of the Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo, NY. A park ranger will give an overview of the events leading up to this tragedy and the immediate aftermath.
Nature Walk Tour: The Nature Walk: Winter Birding event will start at 10:00am on March 17, 2018. Activities include a nature walk and bird watching.
