The Governor’s Feast in New Mexico

Discover the fascinating ancient history of New Mexico’s southwest Indians at Acoma Pueblo. You can enjoy looking through a window in time when Natives carried on customary traditions through arts and crafts and tribal celebrations. The educational tours and displays are meant to generate broader and deeper understanding of Acoma People. Since 1150 A.D., Acoma Pueblo has earned the reputation as the oldest continuously inhabited community in North America. The mesa-top settlement is home to unique artifacts including pottery recognized for fluted rims, thin walls and geometric design. An exciting event at Acoma is the Governor’s Feast.
