WINTER DRIVING SAFETY TIPS

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration urges drivers to be winter ready with basic planning and preventative vehicle maintenance. They offer the following tips to help you ensure your vehicle is in optimal condition for driving in icy and snowy weather:

  • Check for recalls at gov/recalls to make sure your car is recall free
  • Know your car by learning how it handles under winter weather driving conditions
  • Check your battery and tires
  • Stock your vehicle with supplies including items used for general driving-related tasks and emergencies
