Family Magic Weekend, March 2-4, YMCA of the Rockies, Estes Park. CO.  The magic-themed adventure getaway at the YMCA of the Rockies Estes Park includes magic tricks instruction and demonstrations from a real magician in addition to on-site recreational activities such as roller skating, archery and crafts.

Honolulu Festival, March 2-4, Honolulu, HI. This three-day festival shares a rich and vibrant blend of Asian and Pacific Island cultures with the rest of the world through educational programs, activities, craft fairs, demonstrations, and a Grand Parade through Waikiki filled with cultural floats and group performances. Plus, for the first time ever the Nagaoka Hanabi fireworks will be on display outside of its hometown.

50th Annual Conch Shell Blowing Contest, March 3, Key West, FL. An island tradition that celebrates the historic importance of conch in the Keys, this unique contest features contestants in several age categories attempting to make “music” with fluted conch shell.

 The ABC’s of Dr. Seuss, March 3, Springfield, MA. The Springfield Museums present “The ABC’s of Dr. Seuss,” an engaging program designed especially for Pre-K through 1st graders and their families led by a museum instructor. While there, little ones will enjoy seeing the Dr. Seuss National Memorial Sculpture Garden, honoring a native son of Springfield.

 Free Family Day: Look & Listen, March 3, Northhampton, MA. A day of hands-on music, art making and projects dispersed throughout the Museum that invite kids to make objects inspired by the connections between music and visual art.

 Dr. Seuss’s Birthday, March 3, Amelia Island, FL, Dr. Seuss’s Birthday at the Nature Center on March 3, and enjoy a whimsical afternoon of crafts; a bounce house; Tanner the Turtle’s reading of Yertle the Turtle by Dr Seuss; Nature Nook discovery activities; a critter encounter and Seusicall snacks for all!

 Fully Charged – Ringling Brothers & Barnum and Bailey Circus at U.S. Bank Arena, March 7-11, Cincinnati, OH, Breathtaking dare-devilry, superhuman stunts and never-before-seen performances.

 BIG Story Fest, March 8-11, Beaufort, SC, The stories are outta-this-world and down to earth, in the Beaufort Intergalactic Storytelling Festival and Liars Competition, featuring Dolores Hydock, Hawk Hurst, Ronstadt Generations, Natalie Daise, and John McCutcheon.

 CIRCA, March 6, Amhearst, MA.  Umass Amherst Fine Arts Center in Amherst, MA will present “CIRCA,” which combines physical beauty, extreme circus skills and dance. Seven performers move from highly complex tumbling sequences to fast-paced flashes of great intricacy where precision and timing are everything.

 Highland Maple Festival, March 10 – 11 & 17 – 18, Monterey, VA, celebrates the Highland County tradition of maple syrup-making. Designated a “Local Legacy” by The Library of Congress, this festival of more than 50 years, attracts upwards of 50,000 visitors. Sugar camp tours provide a unique and educational glimpse of a rapidly vanishing way of rural American life.

 12th Annual International Children’s Festival, March 12,  Hampton, VA. Travel around the world during the International Children’s Festival. Enjoy the rich array of sights, sounds, and tastes of distant lands that will captivate the senses of children and adults alike. Experience the beauty and wonder of exotic places as over thirty-five countries and cultures showcase their unique heritages. Mill Point Park, 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

 Holyoke St Patrick’s Day Parade, March 18, Holyoke, MA. The parades are family friendly- particularly the Hoyoke St. Patrick’s Day in western Mass, which is one of the biggest parades in the nation.

 Valiant Air Command’s Tico Warbird Air Show, March 9-11, Titusville, FL. See vintage C-47s and sophisticated 440 mph (708 kph) F-86 Saber Jets at one of the biggest air spectacles of the year at the Space Coast Regional Airport, just south of Titusville

 Play “Clue” in the Mark Twain House, March 22, 23, Hartford, CT, Inspired by the classic game CLUE, Sea Tea Improve Comedy Troupe invites you into the Mark Twain House to solve a murder mystery! Was it Katy Leary in the Conservatory with the wrench? George Griffin in the dining room with the rope? Get a clue and decide for yourself! This event is appropriate for children ages 8 and up.

 LEGO KidsFest at Duke Energy Convention Center, March 23-25, Cincinnati, OH. This three-day show is filled with hands-on, interactive and educational activities for the whole family.

 Jack Hanna Weekend at SeaWorld Orlando, March 24 – 25, Orlando, FL. Jack Hanna, renowned animal expert and host of TV’s “Jack Hanna’s Animal Adventures,” showcases some of his furry and feathered animal friends from all parts of the world. Hanna introduces unique and exotic animals, shares amazing animal stories and shows hilarious bloopers.

 Seaport Village Spring Busker Festival, March 24 and 25, San Diego, CA. The Festival is a celebration of street performers that welcomes families to the San Diego bay front for awe-inspiring entertainment for two full days. Comedic stuntmen, escape artists, bucket drummers, sword swallowers and fire eaters arrive from across the country to entertain the crowds at the free event.

 The Strong Museum of Play introduces Wizard of Oz Weekend, March 24-25, Rochester, NY. Families are invited to see performances by the Bubble Man, Doug Rougeux, and meet Glinda the Good Witch all while experimenting with colors and light to create Oz-themed works of art

 Curious George: Let’s Get Curious,  March 25 – June 3, Miami, FL. Boys and girls ages 3 -7 follow their favorite little monkey through an exciting hands-on exhibit that focuses on math, science, art and engineering.
